Dirty Dancing star, Patrick Swayze, died from his illness last Monday, September 14, 2009, at the age of 57. The actor was diagnosed to have been suffering advanced stage four pancreatic cancer in January 2008. Nevertheless, despite the diagnosis, he continued to work still, putting together a memoir with his wife and shooting “The Beast” where he made the pilot episode. Swayze chose not to use painkillers in the shoot of this A&E drama series. The actor said that it would have taken the edge of his performance. Maybe this decision led the show to have a phenomenal number of viewers raging to 1.3 million viewers for the 13 episodes that ran during the year, but then, A&E decided reluctantly not to continue the show for the next season.
Swayze, in his interview with Barbara Walters says that five years is a wishful thinking. He also said that he wanted to last until people find a cure for his illness, like getting a fire under it. When his illness went public, many had reacted to his situation. Some says he only got weeks to live, but according to his doctor, his condition was considerably more optimistic than that. The actor appeared in a live television event “Stand Up to Cancer” September last year where he touched many hearts when he stated, “I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, a life not lived in the shadow of cancer, but in the light. … I dream that the word ‘cure’ will no longer be followed by the words ‘is impossible.” He also wrote an op-ed piece in the Washington Post entitled “I’m Battling Cancer. How About Some Help, Congress?”, wherein he pursued to the senators and representatives the maximum funding for the National Institutes of Health for fighting cancer and to make it a part of the economic stimulus package. Clearly, the actor fought up in all the ways he can to overcome this illness. Then maybe, you just cannot tell what would really happen next. Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months. Condolences poured out from the fans and co-celebrities who were greatly inspired by his struggle in fighting out his illness.

Former Baywatch Star, David Hasselhoff was rushed to hospital on Sunday night, September 20, 2009; suffering from alcohol poisoning. Reports said that it was the star’s 17-year-old daughter; Hayley was the one has discovered Hasselhoff extremely drunk. The young lady then called her mother Pamela, who asked a friend to call 911 to rush to Hasselhoff’s home in Encino, California. Paramedics arrived, took the star to hospital for treatment, and was said to have left in an hour. Hasselhoff was already hospitalised back in May 2009, with alleged alcohol poisoning, but then his spokesperson insisted that the incident was not serious. The ‘Knight Rider’ star has publicly battled alcoholism for several years and has been hospitalized for alcohol poisoning five times previously. This incident has opened the issue on the actor’s alcohol problem. If people would remember it right, Hasselhoff was preciously exposed in a video footage of him writhing around on the floor trying to eat a cheeseburger. He was then checked into a rehabilitation facility. He said afterwards: “Unfortunately, I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse. I am a recovering alcoholic.”
Now he was fighting off reports regarding his recent hospitalization and was saying that it was caused by an equilibrium imbalance, which is caused by a new prescription medication, a drug prescribed to treat an ear infection that he took right after his anti-alcohol tablets.
According to the actor’s attorney Mel Goldsman, Hasselhoff was under treatment for his inner ear infection and had a bad reaction with his medication over the weekend that made him lost his equilibrium and it left him dizzy.
Meanwhile, Hasselhoff is set to perform at the 20th anniversary of the fall of Berlin Wall on November 9, 2009. Joining with him in his number includes performers like Bryan Adams, Sinead O’Connor, Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison. He says with excitement, “I sang to a million people there in 1989. I sang Looking for Freedom the night the Wall came down. I’m going back this year.”

You might be shocked and thinks that Rihanna is not using her head for marrying Chris Brown after all that had happen with them. Yes, the couple has reportedly patched up while having a tearfull face-to-face meeting at one of Sean Diddy Comb’s homes at the $14.5 million Miami mansion. Chris Brown was very emotional by that time and tearfully apologized, begged for forgiveness and proposed to the girl he loves right on the spot. A very romantic act right there from Chris Brown.
However, before you get carried away by the act of Chris Brown, we are all aware that the couple was in controversy a few months ago. It was when Chris Brown beaten Rihanna and causes so much damage to the Umbrella singer. Report says that Chris and Rihanna already started bad-mouthing after leaving the pre-Grammy party of Clive Davis. In a short while, things started to happen right after midnight.
Chris Brown pulled his silver Lamborghini to the side of a street in L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood. On the other hand, Rihanna has reportedly grabbed the car keys and tossed them out of the window, which causes Brown to get angry. Brown tried in vain to find the keys and when he came back to the car, that is when he put his hands around Rihanna’s neck and reportedly said “I’m going to kill you!”
According to the reports, Rihanna told the police that she has lost consciousness, and when she awoke, Brown had gone out. Rihanna’s photographs right after the incidents show major contusions on both side of her face. There were serious swelling and bruising. Rihanna also has a bloody nose and her lip is split. Police had confirmed that there were bite marks on one of Rihanna’s arm and on several fingers. Later they know as Rihanna claims that Brown has struck her with his fists that did the damage. Further they learned that, it was somebody on the area who hear Rihanna screaming who was the one called 911 and not Rihanna herself.
Despite of what had happen, Rihanna is not cooperating with the police to punish Chris Brown. Reports said that Rihanna does not want Chris Brown to be criminally punished and is not anymore assisting the police authority with their criminal case against Chris Brown, which is the sad part.
However, police authority still wanted Chris to pay for what he did. Since Rihanna has identified Chris Brown as the person who assaulted her, and the physical injuries are already enough as evidence, the police decided to continue with the investigation even if Rihanna is not cooperating.
However, just recently the couple had patched up, is together again, and was believed to have a secret wedding. Report said that Rihanna wanted to be with Chris Brown forever and is looking for the husband and two kids deal before she turns 25. Rihanna was very up front and confessed to Chris brown telling him that she cannot live without him.
Well, it seems like Rihanna truly loves Chris Brown. All we have to do is to wish them both the best of luck.

Recently Keanu Reeves has been sued for the reason of hitting a paparazzo with his Porsche, which causes the paparazzo to fall and injure his left wrist. However, according to the jury, actor Keanu Reeves will not have to pay the said photographer.

In Los Angeles, “The Matrix” star Keanu Reeves got the excellent outcome when the jury says the he does not owe even a single penny to the paparazzo that sued him.
On Monday November 3, 2008, actor Keanu Reeves was held not responsible for the paparazzo’s alleged injuries. The deliberation took in less than three hours that eventually made the jurors unanimously rejected the civil lawsuit filed by the photographer against Keanu Reeves, and Alison Silva has asked the jury to give him $711,974, which includes medical bills, lost wages and punitive damages.
Silva said the reporters outside the Los Angels County Superior Court that he respect the jury’s decision and that is what they are there for since day one. He further said that despite of the jury’s decision, he would continue his job as a paparazzo. When Silva was asked if he would ever take a photo of Keanu, again he brightly said “Why not? It’s business.” According to him, he had nothing against Keanu and he wishes of its happiness in life.
Silva’s claim include about “The Matrix,” “Speed” and “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” star Keanu Reeves struck him with the star’s Porsche in March of 2007, which causes him to fall and eventually injure his left wrist.
During the hearing, Jurors have clearly heard how contradicting Silva’s statement was about the incident. They even have the chance to see a video of the paparazzo using his supposedly or shall we say claimed damaged wrist scaling down a chain link fence after getting a video of Britney Spears.
Keanu Reeves’ attorney Alfred Gerisch said after the verdict that it is obvious from the very beginning that Mr. Reeves is not negligent. However, unfortunately, a lawsuit was brought and they eventually came out this far with a lot of time and effort wasted and of course a lot of money too.
Keanu was on the courthouse’s cafeteria on the roof while waiting for the verdict; however, he declined to comment after the decision was read.
The case attorneys issued closing arguments on Friday and the jury did deliberate for about five minutes before leaving for the weekend. The following Monday job resumed and all of the 12 jurors decided to reject the case. It was in the law of California that during civil trials, only nine jurors are required to agree.
The panel of jurors is composed of six men and six women and was decidedly a Hollywood gang. One of them claimed to be an animator for “The Simpsons,” other claims that had helped in coordinating for movie shoots in public parks. A pair of actresses, and a former voice-over artist had been eliminated from the jury pool.
During the five-day trial, Reeves was always on the courtroom and occasionally found discussing with his lawyers and signing autographs in the lobby.

Quantum of Solace is the latest James Bond Movie. Moore said that he is happy of being part of it but was saddened also that the wonderful family movie turned out to be so violent already. According to Roger Moore, it seems like this is what the movie goers are wanted and it was being proved by the box office figures the Quantum of Solace had in London when it opened on October 31, 2008.

When the bond film opened in London on October 31, it breaks the British weekend box-office record as they reach the gross of $25 million. That is just in London alone. When the worldwide sales are being recognized, the bond film has reached a gross of $106 million so far.

In his 1985 Bond movie “A View to a Kill”, the 85 years old Moore recalled being horrified of its violence. This bond film was his last of seven wherein he played Bond.

It has been known that Roger Moore has written a book and he writes about his distaste for guns since his friend with a BB gun shot him in the leg when he was still a teenager.

He had written further that during the making of “The Man with the Golden Gun,” his director Guy Hamilton wanted Bond to be tougher. In order to get information, the director wanted him to threaten Maud Adam’s character’s arm to break. Moore said that this characterization does not sit well with him; however, Guy was eager to make Bond a little crueler.

Since Moore does not want cruelty, he suggested that to get information, Bond would charm her by bedding her first. Generally, Bond was a lover and a giggler. However, Moore went along with Guy.

Even though the former Bond star haven’t seen Quantum of Solace yet, he is sure that it will be a success in North America too, since Craig’s first Bond film which is the Casino Royale, hits the market.
As to with Moore’s legacy as an actor, he was mostly known for playing Bond and playing in some TV series like The Saint and The Persuaders with Tony Curtis. According to Moore, being remembered as one of the leers or the hamlets is what he wanted the most. However, since it is not going to happen, he is already happy for playing Bond.

Moore’s records are full of story about Hollywood and the stars that he used to worked with like Vivien Leigh, Mae West and Lana Turner. He also mentioned about his bust-up with Grace Jones during the shoot of A view to a Kill, wherein he forcibly pulled the plug on her stereo and throws a chair against the wall because she was playing rock music aloud.
